“The world appears to be spiraling downward,” the Grandmothers said. “Wars, terror, and violence are springing up everywhere and fear is having a field day. Many of you can no longer even watch the news, and the greed and superficiality of your society is becoming hard for you to bear. All these things and more are indeed happening, but we tell you that things are not as they seem. These are the times of change we told you about when we first came,” the Grandmothers said, fixing me with their eyes, “and they are upon you now.
“Although destructive energy is rising to the surface,” they said, “it is coming up to be transmuted, cleared, and eliminated. We ask you to stand steady now, observe it as it shows itself, and give thanks that this is happening. Dark energy has repressed love and life on your planet for a very long time,” they said, “and so this rising up of evil must occur,” they declared. “You are called at this time to bear witness and hold the Net of Light for your planet.
“Call on us or any form of the Divine you love,” they said, “and call on the Net of Light. And while the radiance of the Net holds you, realize that its golden strands are also holding everyone and everything on earth. Work in this thoughtful way,” they said, “magnifying the power of the Net of Light for yourself and for all beings.
“As all this change and seeming destruction takes place, we will hold, cherish, and protect you, for you are our very own. Sit with us,” they said. “Take time to be with us and let us love you. We will comfort you while the pain on your beloved planet rises to the surface.
“You are not alone,” they said. “We are with you at every moment, attending you day and night. We are the very breath in your body–always present.
“You have been conditioned to chase after the things of the world,” the Grandmothers said. “Chase after money, ideas, thoughts (both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ thoughts), and yet all this chasing does is make you tired, lonely, and afraid.
So take a break from that now and instead, spend time with us. We are here—before you, behind you, and beside you—holding and enfolding you.
“The things of this world are insubstantial at best,” they said, “so why spend so much energy pursuing them? We know you’ve been taught to do that,” they laughed, “and so you persist, even while the world ‘out there’ is falling apart. But focusing ‘out there’, especially at this time,” they said,“is robbing you of peace, robbing you of strength.
“If you call on the Net of Light and sit quietly with us for just a few minutes each day, you will feel our love. And as you allow love to flow back and forth between us, the way it naturally does, this simple act will allow us to take your pain and worries away. “We promise that we will take care of everything for you,” the Grandmothers said. “You came into this life infused with the presence of divinity. The Divine permeates every part of you, permeates the very air you breathe. At every moment you are that close to us, that close to every form of the Divine–but you don’t know it,” the Grandmothers said, sadness in their eyes.
“We ask you to practice sitting with us, looking into our eyes and feeling our arms around you. Simply rest there, and as you do, all the things you long for, all the things you want—both material and non-material—will be taken care of. It’s the habit of worry; all that ‘trying’ that prevents you from receiving your hearts desire. We are here to give it to you,” the Grandmothers said, “so let go of the trying–just for a few minutes a day–and let us give to you.
“Many years ago we told you: ‘You do the living and we do the giving.’ Well…,” the Grandmothers smiled, “we never tell a lie, so you can count on those words. Wouldn’t you like your life to be easier?” they asked. “Lean on us.”
